Initiative for biodiversity conservation in Yambol District

The project aims to raise the public awareness on natural wealth and biodiversity conservation in Yambol region. It will start with training on environmental protection, addressed to selected participants – representatives of the target group.

As a follow up of the training thorough information about the rare species will be collected, proceeded and summarized thus providing a basis for creating a unique brochure. The brochure is supposed to contain detailed description of the biodiversity in the region with emphasize on the rare species and advises how to preserve them. It will be a luxury edition with a lot of pictures and text on two languages – Bulgarian and English. The brochure will be officially presented on a final workshop and will be distributed to regional NGOs, Cultural and Youth Centers, schools, tourist companies, etc. aiming to raise the awareness of the local population and visitors on biodiversity conservation.
