The 6th ECCENTRIC Seminar was held in the office of the Union of People with Disabilities in Ruse on May 31, 2019.
The main objective was to discuss their specific issues related to their mobility and accessibility in the urban environment. The Project Manager Prof. Lucia Ilieva presented the project's achievements and the opportunities for improving the mobility for the citizens. All the measures that have been implemented within the project were explored in detail and it was explained that these are only pilot endeavors in a limited region. With good results, they will be multiplied across the city. Through direct interviews and lively discussion, opportunities for improving the mobility of people with disabilities were explored and future project ideas and possibilities for financing and cooperation in sustainable transport were discussed.
