Representatives of active non-profit organizations gathered in Ruse at the invitation of the Club “Sustainable Development of Civil Society” to get acquainted about the progress of the “CIVITAS ECCENTRIC” project and to discuss the measures envisaged to improve the quality of life in Druzhba city region by improved mobility opportunities.
The participants talked about the needs to update the urban transport scheme, to improve the public transport fleet, to introduce conditions for the safe movement of people with special needs and mothers with baby-carriages. They also discussed the foreseen park&rade system in Druzhba, a night bus line, bicycle paths and others.
New discussion forums for stakeholders will be held, organized by the Club “Sustainable Development of Civil Society” under the project “CIVITAS ECCENTRIC - Innovative solutions for sustainable mobility of people in suburban city districts and emission free freight logistics in urban centres”, funded under the Horizon 2020 program of EU.
